Sisterlocks

Sisterlocks has been becoming a popular trend across the country for African-American women with dreads.  Sisterlocks are tiny locks that are divided in a parting grid.  A specialized tool is used to for the precise locking format.  No gel or any waxes are used to style sisterlocks.  Sisterlocks is a company that was founded in 1993 by Dr. JoAnne Cornwell.  Its motto is: “Sisterlocks is not about a hairstyle, it’s about a lifestyle.”  You must go through a hands-on training in order to become a certified practitioner.  Once you become certified then you are placed in the sisterlocks referral database.  Dr. Cornwell founded the company on sisterhood.  With having to learn hands-on that shows a little more love and responsibility for the craft.  The company shows their sisterhood by connecting practitioners and clients together.  Sisterhood and responsibility are both elements to a lifestyle.
